Even before I got myself a DSLR, I've always been inclined to shoot flowers up close. I find it interesting as I could see the detail of the subject closely with a Macro shot. Details that we normally just ignore at first glance. Perfect sample of the saying "stop and smell the roses", or in this case "see" the flowers.
